This is just a screenshot; the actual typing game fills your whole screen, making it very easy to see the characters you're typing and the finger position chart too.
Type the characters appearing on the aliens falling from the sky, before they reach the bottom. As soon as you type a character that appears on an alien it is deleted from the alien. The rest of the characters on the alien turn red, letting you know it is selected. Type all the characters off an alien, and it will be obliterated from the screen. Little breaks here and there throughout the exercises display your accuracy and words per minute. Make it through the whole exercise, and receive a gratifying applause. Complete a home key exercises in the game, and the next exercise is automatically loaded. Just keep going until you have done all the home key exercises, or stop by hitting the Esc button. There are 9 Key Learning exercises. They automatically load in order as you type them. There is All Kinds of Animals, Presidents of the United States, Number Pad, and a Random Never Ending exercise, for you to type too.
Choose from three speeds to play the game: Beginner, Fast, or Expert. Just click the speed you want before choosing the exercise. You can also choose from three backdrops while playing the typing game. Click your choice before you choose the exercise.
Use the Random Never Ending Exercise. Random words and characters appear on the aliens for you to type. They cover the whole alphanumerical keyboard plus punctuation symbols. You never run out of typing material. You'll have to hit the Esc button to stop.

Test your typing speed, accuracy, and learn to touch type. With large easy to read 24 pixel text, Homemade Typing gives you instant feedback on your typing speed, accuracy, correct characters typed, incorrect characters typed, and time spent typing. If you type an incorrect character, you'll hear the wrong key buzzer. The wrong key buzzer teaches you to type accurately by instantly letting you know when you've hit a wrong key.
In the Text From Screen section there are 6 home key exercises, that cover all the alphabetical, number and punctuation keys. I have the lessons arranged so you learn the home keys first, by typing each key 25 times or more. A new key is added to the exercise after a set of keys has been typed the 25 times. Previously typed keys are arranged into different words, sequences, and mixed with new keys, reinforcing keys that have already been learned. Just do the exercises in order. To break up the key learning lessons, and type something more interesting, choose a story, do the number pad exercise, or go to the game section. Make it through all the home key exercises, and see your final scores and hear the gratifying applause.
